Teniyume is a relatively new site created by Megane-ko. This site contains dream novels which feature characters from the anime and manga series, Prince of Tennis. DREAM NOVELS
Dream Novels are fictional stories written by fans in which readers can virtually participate in the flow of story. It works just like fan fiction, however, the reader has to input his or her name (by prompt) and he or she then becomes a part of the story.
THE NAME “TENIYUME”
“Teniyume” basically means “Tennis Dream”. Yume is the Japanese word for dream. Japanese people have this way of making English phrases short (i.e. Wordpro for Word Processor), and such was applied in naming this site.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO FINISH WRITING A STORY?
It depends. Most of us are students juggling different academic-related tasks, so sometimes it takes a while. But don’t worry since we try our best to finish your requests as early as we can.
CAN I REQUEST FOR A CHARACTER THAT’S NOT IN THE LIST?
Hmm… It depends on the situation. You see, the reason we provided the list is because we are not familiar with some of the characters in the manga/anime. However, If you really wanted someone to be included in the story, maybe you can provide us with some background about the character, and maybe one of us can work it out.
DO YOU WRITE DREAM NOVELS WITH FEMALE CHARACTERS?
As of May 2006, we decided to upload a list female characters from the series so that you can read stories starring the female characters from Prince of Tennis. Unfortunately, we don’t write slash here, sorry.
WHAT’S AN INTERACTIVE PROMPT?
Interactive or Fancy prompt is a style applied on the prompts of the DN wherein characters get to ask the basic questions before the reader proceeds to the story. This style was first adopted to the English DN world by Just Once, and with their permission, Teniyume is also adopting this style on some of the DNs. Readers who are requesting for stories have the chance to request for fancy prompts in their requested DNs.
HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS SITE?
As of September 2006, the site’s now powered by WordPress because of Megane-ko’s hectic schedule. >___>;;
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY STORIES HERE?
Unfortunately, we don’t just publish stories, rather, we recruit writers. Only staff members are allowed to release stories in this site. If you really are interested to be a part of Teniyume, then you have to apply as a writer.
CAN I APPLY AS A WRITER OR PROOFREADER?
Yes, but please wait for our announcement since we open slots only at a particular time. Opened slots can be in form of a writing contest, or we just announce that we’re looking for writers.
I APPLIED AS A WRITER BUT I WAS TURNED DOWN. IS IT OKAY IF I APPLY AGAIN THE NEXT TIME YOU OPEN SLOTS FOR WRITERS?
Yes. Your previous application (i.e. impression on the story you handed in) will not be counted, and we will accept or turn you down based on the new story that you will submit to us.
CAN YOU WRITE ME A STORY ABOUT (INSERT CHARACTER’S NAME HERE)?
Yes, but it has to be under these circumstances: one, the character should be present on our character list; and two, you have to post a request. Please read the request section for more details.
(INSERT STORY’S TITLE HERE) IS REALLY GREAT! IS THERE A CONTINUATION TO IT?
Sometimes, our staff tend to write multi-chaptered dream novels. In some cases though, it takes a while for some of us to finish the second part of the story. We appreciate that you like the story, but we also have other things to do, that is why we cannot afford to write the continuation right away. It would be great if you keep on checking the site for updates.
