After the Parokya ni Edgar concert, Jon and I hurried to go to Winnipeg Convention Centre to visit our friends who participated this year’s Ai-kon. To those who don’t know about it, Ai-kon is the annual manga and anime convention held here in Winnipeg.
Most of our friends did cosplay for the 3-day convention, and I was happy to see them in character. More »
Delayed na ‘tong entry na ‘to. Anyway.
Nung isang araw eh nakuha ko na yung 2008-2009 academic calendar ko para sa U of A. Makapal siya, tulad ng sa U of M. Hindi pa rin ako nakakapag-register ng courses kasi hindi ko alam kung anong kukunin ko pa. Nakausap ko na yung adviser, pero dahil hindi pa ako na-a-advice-an nung language coordinator, hindi ko alam kung saan nila ako ilalagay sa language. Feeling ko balik elementary Japanese ako. Pero hindi na ako concerned masyado doon. Ang target ko next year, makakapagsalita at makakapagsulat na ako fluently in Japanese. Yehey!
Anyway, what keeps me busy eh yung work (as usual), tapos driving lessons (oo nag-give-in na rin ako sa hiling ng mga magulang ko), tapos yung upcoming bakasyon at reunion, among other things.

A couple of months ago I was able to get the news that the Filipino band Parokya ni Edgar will be performing here in Winnipeg. Cheree got her tickets right away and was happy na dinamay niya ako, he he. Yesterday my friends and I were lucky to catch their show. More »

Day-off ko na ulit, finally. Well supposedly may work ako pero nakipagpalit ako nang shift. I badly need this day off. I ran some errands and then later sinundo ako nila Jaq at Ariane sa Northgate for lunch. We picked up Sybil afterwards and then we were on our way to Chinatown. More »
Last Monday I got the chance to see America’s Best Dance Crew Season 1 champs, Jabbawockeez, perform. It was an okay experience — it was my first time going to Blush with a couple of friends, so technically I don’t know what to expect. And I am somehow worried about my safety, he he. More »
My new article, Obtaining a Valuable Fortune, is now on print. I’ll probably get the newspaper over the weekend, but the online version’s up already.
Just grabbed myself a 320GB external HD and a 80GB Apple iPod last Saturday. My iRiver H10 is close to dying so I thought of replacing it. Ayoko talagang mag-iPod but I have no choice kasi it’s cheaper, slimmer and has bigger capacity than others. So ayun.
Also, tapos na ako dun sa isa kong part-time job. Kahapon ng tanghali yung last shift ko. Stress pa rin as usual; yung last 2 hours di siya masyadong smooth, but I managed to end the day, so okay na siguro. Bukas trabaho na naman, and then mamaya nood ng performance ng Jabbawockeez!
BTW, it seems that my parents are already okay for me to leave the house for University of Alberta. I talked to my mom over the weekend and she’s giving me some options kung paano magkakaroon ng funds para makapag-aral ako ulit, since hindi na yata ako papautangin ng federal government. Anyhow awhile ago I signed up for an application for residence, medyo mahal din, inabot ako ng $170, utang ko pa kay mommy since I used her credit card.
May pa-barbecue si Sybil kanina at humabol na lang din ako after work, he he. Na-miss ko nga yung ibang lunch talaga dumating (lunch kasi talaga yun eh), kasi alam niyo naman ako, workaholic, haha.
Anyhow, it was nice seeing my friends again. Yung iba matagal ko na ring hindi nakita kasi intense na yung schedule ko nung bandang March-April tapos I usually spend my time at the photoclub kasi mas tahimik mag-aral. More »
