Dimsum Sunday

March 22nd, 2008 Posted in Personal

Sorry for the week-long backlogs. School is about to end soon so I usually spend my time reading, studying (uh, not really, but I try to) and preparing for my final exams and other requirements. I just cannot imagine how am I supposed to finish everything in three and a half weeks, excluding the third week of April which is mainly the date for my three final exams.

Anyway, last Sunday I went out with Andy and Andrew (whom we sometimes call Andy as well) for supposedly-breakfast-but-turned-into-dimsum-lunch. I thought that there were six of us going out but it turned out that only the three of us are available that day.

The university is, not surprisingly, really quiet on Sundays. Which I really like, since the whole place is chaotic during the weekdays. By the way, I had to meet them at school, that’s why I went there. Took the bus (the accordion one! Really neat) later and made some last-minute changes on our plans, and then went to King Street where the Winnipeg Chinatown is located.

Went to a dimsum restaurant and the place was just packed. We had a reservation and the lady told us (uh, well she told Andy; they spoke in Chinese) that we have to wait for twenty minutes. Andy told us to go walk around outside first and then checked out one of the stores there. We went back around fifteen minutes later, got our seats and started attacking the food. It was delicious. ♥

After our really filling lunch we walked from King Street to Graham for coffee. Long walk I tell you, but I really didn’t notice it since we were busy talking and shooting pictures. Downtown isn’t as busy, so we were free walking down the streets, taking our time. Had to leave the guys later for I attended Jaq’s birthday celebration which was also held that day.
