Blüfish

July 26th, 2007 Posted in Food, Winnipeg

Before we checked out the play that we attended last night, we went out to eat at Blüfish. We were a bit reluctant to eat here because, according from the info that we got from Ate Karen (from her sibling), it’s quite expensive to eat there. But then again, we all got jobs now so it’s okay, hehe. So we went there and we cannot suppressed our amusement because everyone looks so formal (or decent, at least) and we all look weird since we got caught in the rain.

Fortunately, as soon as I saw the menu, we realized that Blüfish is actually a very affordable place to eat Japanese food. I think Blüfish is a very interesting addition to the restaurant lineup of the Exchange District.

Sybil ordered a salad, Agedashi Tofu and Crunchy roll, while Ate Karen got herself a Chicken Teriyaki Ala Carte. I got myself a Philadelphia Roll, Smoked Salmon Maki, Inari, and Gyoza (Pan-fried dumplings). It’s the first time I ordered a Philadelphia and I wasn’t disappointed. The Gyoza was really tasty too. The Inari was a bit small compared to other restaurants but it tasted good.

In general, I think Blüfish is a very affordable place and will probably go there again if I happen to pass by the Exchange District. Blüfish is located at 179 Bannatyne.
