Just Desserts
One of the people I work with mentioned of a good cafe near the Shell station at Saint Boniface area that serves really good cheesecakes. I wanted to visit that place, sadly, I forgot the name of the cafe. Just then, Jona and I decided to visit Just Desserts Cafe (which is beside the Shell station) and take a look at the place. We ended up eating there because of the delicious-looking desserts on the counter.
I love the interior of the restaurant. It gives this artsy, sophisticated feel but it was something that won’t intimidate the customer. I think it’s just the right place to chill out with friends, or to spend a good time with your date. The dessert menu are really simple but cute (with bite-shaped edges on the top). Jona and I got a Strawberry-Mango Smoothie and a slice of Oreo Cheesecake.
What can I say about the cheesecake? It would be really great if I Just Desserts is the place that my colleague was referring to, because it was really marvelous! Probably the best Oreo Cheesecake I’ve tasted so far. I never really pay attention to the texture of the desserts I eat, but this Cheesecake is really fine in texture and I really love it. The smoothie? It was good.
I think the prices are really reasonable, considering the presentation and the taste of the food we ate. I would love to try out their crepes sometime. Final verdict? Highly recommended.
