25@365: Day 066

AUGUST 7, 2010 – Lemarie and I went to Chinatown this afternoon to attend the 2010 Chinatown Street Festival. We missed a couple of performance but that’s okay. We got most of them covered anyway.

Good thing it wasn’t humid today otherwise we could have melted there. Anyway, it’s nice to see Chinatown looking alive. Usually people go there just to eat. Nothing much to see unlike the Philippines’ Binondo and Calgary’s.

On a side note, that photo with men and their big cameras while Lieutenant General Philip Lee passing by… I find it interesting. Read the rest of this entry »

25@365: Day 065

AUGUST 6, 2010 – Casual Friday! I’ve been planning to set up a mini-project. I know, I know. I have too much on my plate now as I have my 25@365 (well, not really — taking photos has already been incorporated in my life; kinda like taking a bath everyday, ha ha!). But anyway.

I got a bit of inspiration from my friend Sybil. But she’s now more of like a full-time fashion blogger, while I, on the other hand, have been juggling photography and writing since I started blogging way, way back in late 2001. Anyway. I figured out that it would be nice to document what I usually look on a Friday, especially that most of the time I get to wear the usual business casual clothes at work.

This outfit by the way failed me this morning. I was running late and I forgot to put insoles in my shoes. Imagine what happened. :P Good thing I brought a pair of GAP flip flops with me (costed my mom a BUCK. Seriously), otherwise, today would have been a total disaster. Read the rest of this entry »

365 on Instax

Our first year on instant film. I just love how I got the right exposures on the landscape photos! Again it’s such a bummer I didn’t have enough to cover the whole week. :( I believe Henry’s selling the films online, but most of the time, I have to rely on online shopping to get my instant films (particularly the ones with border design on them).
