Polaroid Supercolor 635 + Impossible Film

While I do have today’s snow documented (in film, no less) I’ll post these other two frames I took outside while it was raining.

These were both from Polaroid Supercolor 635 and using PX-600 Grey Frame.

In regards to keeping the films developing nicely, putting them in the pocket does not really work for me as the chemicals do not develop evenly (see above). What I would strongly recommend is to have a small book or notebook with you and as soon as the film comes out of the camera, cover it with your palm, and then put it inside the notebook. That will keep it flat and the developing more even.

Of course, you have to make sure that you have the light/dark button on your camera on the right setting.

MAY 1, 2011 – Time is running so fast! It’s the last day of the month.

Here are sample frames from my new PX-600 pack with grey frame. I can still see the sepia tone to it but it’s not as mauve or brown as it was the last time I bought one. I thought it’s wonderful.

I’m thinking of ordering more frames before May 5th. Want to try this out with my upcoming portrait work at the end of May. Should be exciting.

FEBRUARY 21, 2011 – As part of my photowalk last week, here’s my PX 600′s debut outside my house.

I put the first image inside my winter jacket’s pocket only for me to ruin the chemicals. I was walking and running around, you know.

So I tried another shot and it turned out really awesome.

DECEMBER 14, 2010 – So here are my first three frames of the PX 600 UV+ film pack from the Impossible Project. This one I made the mistake of moving the light/dark lever so it turned out lighter. I ended up warming it longer by using a hair drying in low heat mode.

As mentioned in my previous entry, one of the problems I am facing is how to properly warm the film and how to avoid the blotches of chemical that shows up on my integral film. I live in a very cold city (one of the coldest in the world so they say) so it’s a challenge. Time and temperature’s not on my side, but that makes photography on film even more exciting.

Speaking of mailed photos, my aunt also sent some old prints, including a handful of old school Polaroid photos! I cannot remember majority of these, but wow, the Polaroid camera that I am using actually produced these shots. Too cool.
