The language of the soul

Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty cool because I was able to listen to the music of Pro Musica Nipponia. My university’s their last stop for their Alberta tour, and it was really enjoyable watching them play and hear the music. I might be studying Japanese Studies, but this is the first time that I’ve heard traditional Japanese Music, first hand (aside from hearing the taiko before, of course).

It’s really amazing to know how different kinds of music can evoke different kinds of emotions and it’s even more interesting how certain emotions can be brought up by music created from different cultures. Being part of the Global Village is simply wonderful.

What if no one’s watching?

This nook is the culmination of a project that was postponed so many times after getting my first camera in 2004. I've consciously recognized my love for images and photography during that year, so, here it is. So, what if no one is watching? I scan my environment more carefully and take my time in breathing in the beauty that surrounds me, without worrying about other people's impressions or reactions. I hope you enjoy looking at my images the way I enjoyed the process of creating them.
